“ Went to Jazz, a Louisiana Kitchen, it was a good experience. I have been looking for a seafood, Cajun taste here in Kansas City. This visit was one that was needed for me. The food was good, I felt like I tried it all. Popcorn shrimp, crab cakes, boudain balls, jambalaya, gator bites, hush puppies, gumbo, beignets, and bread pudding. The food was good, the rue from the gumbo affected the taste a bit, but overall it was some good eating. Theres a parking garage near that I would recommend you park in during the summer. ”
“ Jazz is a fun place! Live music in the evenings and great cajun and creole dishes. Whenever Im near the Kansas Speedway I love to drop in for their grilled oysters and shrimp creole! The atmosphere is appropriate New Orleans French quarter style. Great for groups or singles. The full menu is available at the bar. ”
“ Recently went to Jazz at the Legends for carry out and it was a great experience. Placing the order was very easy and the staff were pleasant and accommodating. Our order was ready when promised. It was accurate, fresh and hot. We ordered a half order of Seafood Fettuccine each omitting the scallops and adding extra crab meat and it certainly didnt disappoint. I jumped all the way in to the plate before I could get a picture of the food. Sorry about that yall. The staff when we arrived were very nice, fast and efficient. If youre a seafood lover like me go check out the Seafood Fettuccine if not, they have many other tasty options to choose from. To experience great food, excellent service, great value all with a Cajun vibe head on over. Yall can thank me later! ”
“ PROs Great location. Indoor seatings. Great service provided by Christie, he was helpful with recommendations and quick with our requests and drink refills. Food was great! Atmosphere was dark, odd and eclectic. CONs Place appeared dingy and unkept. Approx77 with tip we ordered Fried Seafood Platter, Fried Catfish and 12 Shrimp Czarina. ”
“ If you want the taste of Louisiana then this is your stop...The Chicken A LA Mer was great it had a terrific flavor just the right amount of spice and chicken cooked to perfection with a creamy seafood sauce that was great...we werent to crazy about the stuffed mushrooms , a little to mushy not enough flavor or sauce...The atmosphere was very pleasant no overly loud music like some places have but with a touch of Louisiana ...The staff were very attentive and nice and did a great job...Ive been here before and will come again...its a must place to dine... ”
“ This place was amazing. The waiter and waitresses were a big help for recommendations and I felt genuinely wanted you to want to be there if that makes any sense. They didnt rush us. The love music was really upbeat and I enjoyed it. The waiter helped with recommendations on his favorites as well as something we would most like to get out of the kind of food direction I wanted to go. In all very good food and amazing staff and atmosphere ”
“ Well worth the visit to Legends for a Missourisider. We went on a Friday night for the live music that did not disappoint, but left full and happy. My wife and I got pasta, catfish bites, and enjoyed the food alot. Youll spend a little extra here, but youll definitely get what you pay for! ”
“ I was seated immediately, served bread and seasoned butter, and water and pink lemonade. I ordered crawfish etouffee and hot beignets with Chantilly cream. It was wonderful. Beautiful atmosphere, with little tables and eclectic New Orleans, French quarter decor. There was delicious food with fantastic spice, and extra spices and hot sauce at the table. It was perfect so I could salt and season as I pleased. Fantastic experience, even by myself. I like a little spice. I prefer medium heat salsa and I like my food to have a little constant burn to it, so the etouffee was perfect, with the buttered bread and lemonade to cool my mouth as needed. I want to go back for the live music. I left a little before 6 so I missed it! Korea was a wonderful server. Thank you!! ”
